A Nigerian lady has gone viral after sharing her painful experience growing up in what she described as a toxic family environment.
In a video making rounds online, she called out people who assume everyone had a loving and supportive upbringing just because they did.

The lady said living in a troubled home can leave deep emotional scars, and urged those from stable families not to invalidate the experiences of others.
According to her, it’s unfair when people come online to paint a perfect picture of their parents while dismissing those who went through hardship.
She added that not everyone had the same privilege of peace at home.
Allegations of Threats and Confrontation
She further alleged that she was threatened and chased out of the house at some point.
The lady also claimed she decided to work and take care of herself, but still faced hostility from family members.

She recounted an incident where she was allegedly beaten and asked to kneel down during a confrontation, saying the situation escalated quickly.
Linking Family Issues to Survival Choices
The lady also touched on how difficult home situations can influence some young people’s choices.
She stated that some children end up in prostitution or other survival means because of the pressure and lack of support at home, saying: _”No be this type of toxic family dey make some children go into hookup.”_
She ended by appealing for more understanding and for people to stop judging others based only on their own experiences.
